We are excited to announce an immediate opening for an Office Coordinator in Canton, NY.

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
$20+/hour depending on experience

Position Overview
The Office Coordinator is responsible for office management, tenant relations, and purchasing. This role requires a thorough understanding of public housing programs, including HUD regulations and ?the ?c?company policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage telephone and email inquiries and prepare written correspondence.
- Advise on policies regarding applications and re-examinations.
- Process all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist with tenant background checks and verify information from external agencies.
- Manage the office calendar, including move-ins/outs, meetings, and staff scheduling.
- Prepare office forms, memos, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with local agencies providing tenant assistance.
- Collect rent and process deposits from tenants and HUD.
- Assist management with notices and evictions.
- Act as a liaison to the Maintenance Department for communication and supply ordering.
- Maintain and order office supplies.
- Perform data entry to support the financial department and other general office duties.

Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate is an independent worker who functions well within a team to ensure successful occupancy management.

Education & Experience

- An Associate?s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; OR
- 60 credit hours from an accredited college, including at least 12 credit hours in accounting or bookkeeping; OR
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of experience in maintaining financial accounts and records.
- Requirement: Certified Occupancy Specialist training must be completed and passed within one year of hire.
