Position Summary-
JobsRUs.com is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our client?s team in Kent, WA. This role primarily focuses on TIG welding of thin-gauge titanium and nickel alloys (30?80 thickness range) used in sheet metal aircraft components. The ideal candidate will be experienced in precision welding within an aerospace or high-specification manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities-
Perform TIG welding on titanium and nickel alloy materials.

Apply basic welding processes to join sheet metal aircraft components per written instructions, weld schedules, and engineering drawings.

Prepare weld surfaces and perform fitting of assemblies.

Visually and dimensionally inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with specifications.

Interpret sketches, blueprints, router operations, and technical documents.

Perform work in accordance with established safety and quality standards.

Conduct minor repairs on own parts as needed.

Meet or exceed production and efficiency standards.

Maintain working knowledge of GD&T and seek clarification when needed.

Successfully complete the required TIG weld training program or possess equivalent experience.

Maintain required weld qualifications/certifications, including Fillet Welding.

Train others based on prior experience, as applicable.

Work under limited supervision while demonstrating sound judgment.

Qualifications-
High School Diploma or GED required

Welding Technology degree required

Experience with TIG welding on thin materials preferred

Familiarity with machine tools and precision measuring instruments

Basic mathematical skills relevant to welding functions

Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation

Working Conditions-
Required use of protective clothing, goggles, helmets with protective lenses, and related safety equipment to prevent burns and eye injuries.

Work performed in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, climbing, balancing, and handling of materials

Lifting up to 50 pounds

Extensive use of arms, hands, and full-body movement
