Job Description
The Financial Analyst provides foundational financial support for UCC, contributing to accurate close execution, financial reporting, and analytical deliverables. This role operates with defined processes and guidance while developing the skills needed to independently analyze financial results, identify trends, and support business partners. The position serves as a key feeder role into broader FP&A and commercial finance opportunities within.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Close & Operational Finance
Support monthly close activities in accordance with policies and timelines, including accruals, reclasses, depreciation, commissions, and intercompany transactions.
Partner with Accounting, Payroll, and Shared Services to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.

Reporting & Analysis
Prepare standard monthly financial reports, spend trend files, and T&E analyses for business partners.
Perform routine variance analysis (month-over-month and year-over-year), identifying drivers and preparing clear explanations.
Support scorecards, dashboards, and management reporting used in operating reviews.
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and data requests under guidance from senior analysts or managers.

Controls & Reconciliations
Support balance sheet account reconciliations in Blackline and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
Maintain documentation in support of SOX controls, audits, and internal review requirements.

Business Partnership & Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Sales Operations, Payroll, and Commercial teams to support accurate financial reporting.
Support headcount tracking and operational finance activities aligned to UCC processes.

Systems & Tools
Utilize JDE for financial reporting, journal entries, and analysis.
Work within Blackline, Concur, CCP, WFP, and FSM systems, building proficiency over time.
Leverage Excel to prepare analyses, reconcile data, and support reporting needs.

Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
0?2 years of relevant experience (including internships or rotational programs).
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data integrity.
Intermediate Excel skills; ERP or financial systems experience preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage deadlines, particularly during month-end close.
