Position Summary-
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Technician to accurately and efficiently assemble and test precision mechanical pump systems in accordance with customer and engineering requirements. This role operates within an AS9100-certified manufacturing environment where quality, compliance, and on-time delivery are critical.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and precision test equipment.

Key Responsibilities-

Perform moderate to complex mechanical assembly and functional testing of aerospace pump systems

Work with mechanical components, single hydraulic systems, and multiple part numbers

Utilize hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and precision inspection instruments

Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routers, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives

Identify malfunctions revealed through test data and perform rework as directed

Perform routine preventative maintenance on test equipment

Execute lockwiring, first-stage subassembly, and final detailing functions as required

Ensure all equipment is calibrated per established calibration schedules

Maintain compliance with AS9100 quality standards

Observe all safety policies, 5S standards, and maintain a FOD-free work area

Actively contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Assist in training less experienced team members as needed

Perform other related duties as assigned

Work Environment-

Test room environment requiring hearing protection and additional PPE

Exposure to jet oil and manufacturing conditions

Extended periods of standing

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications-

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of two (2) years of industry-related assembly or test experience in a manufacturing environment

Aerospace or automotive mechanical experience preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical reasoning skills

Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply product/process knowledge to new techniques

Experience using precision measurement tools and test equipment

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Effective verbal, written, and basic computer skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to demonstrate team competencies, participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities
