Description

Specialty door manufacturer located in Pico Rivera is seeking experienced press brake operators to set up and run hydraulic or CNC press brakes to bend/form sheet metal and plate to print specifications. Candidate must read blueprints, perform quality checks, and safely operate tooling and material handling equipment.

Monday - Friday
1st shift - 6am - 2:30pm
2nd shift - 3pm - 11:30pm
Must be open to working overtime & Saturday as needed

Primary responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and bend tables; determine sequence of bends and tooling required.
Set up and program Cincinnati CNC press brake, select and install appropriate tooling, adjust back gauge and crowning, set tonnage and bend angles.
Operate press brake to produce parts to specified tolerances and surface requirements.
Perform dimensional inspection using calipers, micrometers, protractors and templates, document inspection results.
Troubleshoot forming issues (springback, tooling wear, part distortion) and implement corrective actions.
Maintain production records, job travelers and time logs.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep tooling in good condition.
Coordinate with material handlers, welders, and production supervisors to meet schedules.
Follow safety procedures (lockout/tagout, PPE, safe material handling).
Train junior operators as required.

Required qualifications and experience:
3?5+ years? experience operating press brakes; CNC press brake experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, CAD prints, and bend tables.
Familiarity with press brake tooling, dies, tonnage calculations and springback compensation.
Competence with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem-solving.
Ability to lift and position heavy sheet metal (typical lift expectations depend on use of hoists).
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school coursework a plus
