Growing meat processing company located in Vernon is seeking a dedicated Janitor / Sanitation associate to join our team for the first shift. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, ensuring that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and reliability are highly valued. Monday - Saturday 2nd Shift - 12pm start time Duties include: Cleaning restrooms and maintaining supplies stocked Maintaining the breakroom clean and stocked Cleaning office areas Requirements: Available to work overtime & weekends as needed Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment Ability to work around raw meat products Recent janitorial, cleaning or housekeeping experience Must have reliable transportation Open to cleaning all areas of the warehouse and offices Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all facility areas Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established protocols Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or needed Ensure all work areas are kept organized, stocked with necessary supplies, and hazard-free Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, including commercial or industrial cleaning Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods | |
