Job Description
Assess and evaluate patient and employer needs by coordinating patient health care services to ensure high quality and customer service-oriented care. Maintains open communication with patients, employers, physicians, and insurance companies to ensure optimal outcomes. This position provides technical, administrative and customer support services for the Occupational Medicine program in assigned markets.

Position Overview
· Serves as a liaison supporting the coordination of patient cases within the worker?s compensation process.
· Review provider transcripts and medical documentation to ensure treatments align with the authorized care plan.
· Identifies discrepancies, additional treatment, or missing information within transcripts and medical records.
· Communicates with providers when clarification is needed to verify treatments and ensure documentation accuracy.
· Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to carefully review and interpret written medical documentation.

Duties
? Verifies and maintains documentation of all Occupational Medicine information entered into
? Provides state specific and Urgent Care work status reports to employers and insurances as required by state regulations.
? Communicates with employers, adjusters and nurse case managers (verbal and written correspondence) regarding restrictions, missing documents, denials and any additional information to appropriately manage the relationship.
? Appropriately manages and documents workers compensation claims and referrals in EMR system and reviews reporting on workers compensation for accuracy.
? Timely fulfills medical records and other requests by employer representatives.
? Audits charges to optimize billing processes and address missing codes and or information for clean claim submission.
? In collaboration with OccMed EPS coordinator, ensures accounts are manually mapped to eScreen to receive electronic drug screen reporting.
? Develops relationships with companies who utilize the clinic to provide drug screen results, return to work status and help resolve client concerns and issues.
? Provides customer service support to both market, employers, and clinics as the liaison for clients once the protocol has been established.
? Engages with patients and employer representatives on appointment reminders and provides missed appointment information to patients and employers as requested.
? Works with all clinic staff, patients, and employers to ensure coordinated care such that occupational medicine patients receive high quality care and services.
? Supports OccMed Sales Team with setting up employer protocols in EMR System, by standardizing and centralizing protocols as appropriate.
? Participates in regular staff meetings to keep informed of policies, practices, memos, and expectations.
? Maintains consistent internal communication with OccMed Team, OccMed Leaders, and in all assigned support chats.
? Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee and proprietary business information.
? Maintains an awareness and working knowledge of required and available reports, resources, deadlines and other information and data sources and systems.
? Understands and follows company Compliance Program policies and procedures, including HIPAA.
? Follows all OSHA and company policies pertaining to a safe and secure environment for patients and staff. Participates in required emergency drills.
? Is supportive of company-sponsored community activities and marketing initiatives.
? Participates in the successful completion of audits, reviews and employee engagement surveys.
? Participates in regular staff meetings to stay informed of current policies, practices, memos, and expectations.
? Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct, Mission and Value Statements.
? Works assigned schedule and notifies management of absence or tardiness according to policy and practice.
? Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience
? High School Diploma
? Bachelor's Degree Preferred
? Occupational Medicine background or related business experience required
? Electronic Medical Record Experience preferred
? Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
? Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Must be personable and professional.
? Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs/strong computer skills needed
