2nd Shift: 1 pm - 9:30 pm, M-F

Temp to hire!

* Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work instructions
* Verifies conformance of work piece to job order requirements
* Completes work orders as required
* Welds components in flat or vertical positions
* Ignites torches or starts power supplies and strikes arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded
* Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors
* Clamps, holds, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
* Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas, gas metal arc, and plasma arc, mig welding, stick welding, and brazing
* Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials
* Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
* Recognizes, set up, and operates hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc, mig, stick, and gas metal arc welding equipment
* Will lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies
* Follows safety rules; utilizes protective clothing and equipment
* Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions
* Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures
* Performs other duties as required.

Skill/Knowledge:
* High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
* Ability to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards
