Job Title: Material Handler II 1Shift: Sunday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm Location: Shorwood, IL Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler II to join our team. This role is responsible for processing and fulfilling customer orders, moving materials in the warehouse, and ensuring accurate and timely shipment preparation. The Material Handler II will work closely with other warehouse team members and supervisors to meet customer specifications and maintain a clean, efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities: Use a computer to enter data, print shipping labels, and manage order information. Operate necessary equipment (printers, scales, RF devices, etc.) in the work area. Move materials onto pallets/racks and prepare orders for shipment. Sort and segregate materials according to order specifications. Label boxes/materials per customer instructions. Identify and report issues with materials (damage, loss, surplus). Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) equipment for tracking products. Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (stand, bend, kneel, push, pull). Work in varying warehouse temperatures. Follow safety and cleanliness protocols, keeping the work area organized and safe. Communicate and collaborate with team members and supervisors. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED (preferred). Experience: At least 1 year of warehouse and distribution experience (preferred). Skills: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, follow safety guidelines, and maintain a positive work ethic. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods. | |
