JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs a wide range of routine complex manual, automatic and semi-automatic welds utilizing a variety of equipment on high temperature and high strength metal alloys.

Responsibilities:

Following established procedures, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
Perform manual or automatic welding, tacking, weld repairing at 1G (flat) on plates or pipes, ensuring proper penetration and fusion; heat straightening at flat or horizontal position.
Read technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols understand specifications.
Select, set up, and maintain welding equipment (e.g., manual TIG, Je Line, AMI, Robot, EBW, Laser Welding)
Clean, cut, bend, and clamp or tack-weld components in position.
Monitor weld quality during and after welding ensure compliance with code requirements, using visual inspection tcheck for defects.
Help troubleshooting if needed.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Repair existing equipment and perform minor repairs on welding machinery.
May perform other related responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must demonstrate knowledge in TIG welding by successfully passing AWS D17.1 1G weld test:
0.063? SS321, butt joint at 1G position
0.063? Hast-X, butt joint at 1G position
Welds must pass visual inspection, FPI, and X-Ray testing
Must pass weld defects visual inspection test
Experience with semi-automatic or orbital welders preferred
Must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and be willing work effectively as a participative team member in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
Ability tread, write and understand instructions, procedures, drawings and blueprints.
Must possess a high level of manual dexterity, sound and reliable judgment and a willingness learn.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability accurately perform moderately complex mathematical calculations.
Ability learn or perform basic computer operations.
May be required lift up t35 lbs.
